🔍 What We Know About Stranger Things Season 6

As of early 2026, Stranger Things has officially wrapped Season 5 the final season of the original story and series on Netflix. The final episodes were released through late 2025, with the finale dropping on Dec 31, 2025 and closing out the Hawkins saga. 

Because of that, there isn’t currently an official confirmed Season 6 from Netflix’s creators (the Duffer Brothers) as a continuation of the main story they’ve stated the series arc is complete.

Instead of a Season 6 at this time, Netflix and the Stranger Things franchise are expanding in other ways:

🎬 Behind-the-Scenes Documentary

A new documentary titled One Last Adventure: The Making of Stranger Things 5 will premiere on Netflix on January 12, 2026. It explores the final season’s production and cast experiences. 

📺 Spin-Off Projects

Creators have confirmed a Stranger Things spin-off series is in development, featuring new characters, a new town, and a new mythology in the Upside Down universe. 

📖 Animated Series

An animated show titled Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 is slated for release in 2026. It revisits Hawkins in a snowy 1985 with classic characters and new paranormal mysteries.
