If you are waiting for a notification to tell you an update is ready, you might be waiting for weeks. Here is the secret to skipping the line. 👇

Why You Must Check the "Trial Version" 🔍

When a major update like OriginOS 6 (Android 16) is released, it doesn't hit the main "System Update" screen immediately for everyone.

  • Priority Access: The update is first uploaded to the Trial Version section.
  • Stable & Safe: Don't let the name "Trial" scare you—in OriginOS, the Trial Version is usually the final stable build released early for enthusiastic users.
  • Limited Seats: These updates are released in batches. If you don't grab it from the Trial section, you might have to wait for the next wave.

Why Is My Normal Update Screen Empty? 🚫

You might see friends posting about the update while your phone says "System is up to date." This is by design:

  • The Identification Period: The system waits for early users to install via the Trial section first.
  • The 15-Day Delay: Only after the initial "Trial" phase is successful does the system begin pushing automatic notifications.
  • Batch Processing: This push can take 10–15 days to reach your specific device ID. If you want it today, the Trial section is your only shortcut!

How to Know Exactly When It Drops 🗓️

Don't just check your settings every hour. The best way to stay ahead is to stay connected:

  • iQOO Connect Community: This is where the official rollout schedules are posted first.
  • Moderators: Follow the Community Moderators. They often get "Early Bird" info and will post a thread the second the Trial version goes live for a specific model (like the Neo 9 Pro or iQOO 12).

Path to Check: Settings > System Update > Gear Icon (Top Right) > Trial Version.

Final Checklist Before You Upgrade ✅

Before you hit that download button in the Trial section:

  1. Backup your data: Major OS shifts (Android 15 to 16) are big changes.
  2. Charge up: Ensure you have at least 50% battery.
  3. Storage: Keep at least 10–12GB free for the installation package.
