Just received the OriginOS 6 (Android 16) trial update on my iQOO device.

What’s new / improved:

Android 16 with the latest January 2026 security patch

New rounded corner customization for UI elements

New Text Vibe theme series for more personalized lock screen & wallpaper combinations

Improved system stability and smoother overall experience

Optimised power consumption in specific scenarios (better battery efficiency & thermal control)

Better accuracy in language translation in some interfaces

Performance improvements for third-party games

Improved real-time background blur effects in supported apps

Fixes for occasional issues like navigation bar, status bar display, and media volume mute bugs

Initial impression is smooth and stable, with noticeable UI polish. Will share more feedback after a few days of usage.

Would love to see a few customisation improvements in upcoming updates:

Lock screen clock: Option to resize hours and minutes separately

Dynamic backlight / motion cues: Ability to choose custom colours instead of fixed presets

Origin Island: More colourful themes and dynamic styles that change based on the active app

System sounds: Custom sounds for charging start, charging complete, lock/unlock, with support for user-added audio files

These features would greatly improve personalisation and make OriginOS feel even more unique.
