One of the most enduring urban legends among Suits viewers is the "Albert Ezerzer vs. D.B. Woodside" controversy. They are two separate people, and Albert Ezerzer was never an actor on the show, despite widespread allegations on the internet.

The Cause of Perception

The confusion started during Suits' Season 4 debut. The character Jeff Malone, portrayed by seasoned actor D.B. Woodside (Lucifer, 24), made his debut in this episode. A memorial titled "In Memory of Albert Ezerzer" was shown on the screen at the conclusion of that particular episode. Many viewers thought Ezerzer was the actor they had just seen and that he had died during production because Woodside was a new face to them.

The Truth

  • Albert Ezerzer: Rather than being a cast member, he was a cherished member of the Suits transportation department (staff). The production team paid tribute to him as a sign of respect after his death in 2014.
  • D.B. Woodside: He played Jeff Malone throughout the series and is still very much alive. On social media, Woodside has even clarified that he and Ezerzer are not the same person in order to clear up any misconceptions.

Since there aren't many public images of Ezerzer, the "resemblance" mentioned by many fans is primarily due to the timing of the tribute rather than any real physical resemblance.
