I am writing to report a persistent USB-C audio compatibility issue on my device and to request clarification or a software fix.
Device details:
Model: iQOO 15
Software version: PD2505CF_EX_A16.0.20.1.W30
Android version: 16
Issue description: My iQOO 15 does not recognize USB-C earphones (Samsung AKG Type-C) when they are plugged in normally. There is no USB detection notification and no audio output.
The earphones are detected only when OTG is manually enabled in settings. However, OTG automatically turns off after approximately 5 minutes, after which the earphones disconnect and audio stops. This makes USB-C earphones unusable for normal listening.
Important observations:
USB pendrives and other OTG devices are detected normally.
The earphones work perfectly on other smartphones.
The issue appears to be related to the phone firmware treating USB-C audio devices strictly as OTG accessories instead of native USB audio devices.
OTG auto power-off seems to be hard-coded and cannot be disabled.
Impact: This behavior prevents the use of standard USB-C earphones and forces users to rely on Bluetooth or external DAC adapters, which is inconvenient and unexpected for a flagship device.
Request: I kindly request:
Confirmation whether iQOO 15 officially supports USB Audio Class (USB-C earphones).
A software update to enable persistent USB-C audio detection without requiring OTG.
Or an option to disable OTG auto-off when an audio device is connected.
I hope this issue can be addressed via a firmware update, as it is clearly software-related and affects usability.
