The Jatayu Earth's Center is the world’s largest bird sculpture, built on the very rock where Jatayu is believed to have fallen while trying to save Sita.

Unlike typical heroic statues, Jatayu is shown wounded—one wing down, body grounded—symbolising sacrifice, courage, and standing up against injustice.

Made from concrete and steel, it blends mythology, architecture, and raw emotion.

Standing here, you don’t just see history.

🚗 How to Reach

By Road:

• The center is well-connected by road and lies just off the Trivandrum–Kochi highway. You can drive or take a taxi from nearby cities like Thiruvananthapuram (~50 km) or Kollam (~38 km). 

By Train:

• Kottarakkara Railway Station – ~22 km away

• Kollam Junction – ~38 km away

• Thiruvananthapuram Central – ~52 km away

From any station, you can take a taxi or local transport to reach the park. 

By Air:

• Trivandrum International Airport (TRV) is the nearest airport (around 50–52 km). From here, cabs or rentals will take you to the site in about 1–1.5 hrs. 

At the Park:

Once you reach the base, you can either:

• Take the cable car (ropeway) up to the statue, offering scenic aerial views,

• Or climb the walkway with ~826 steps to the top for a closer experience.

Basic Entry + Cable Car:

• Around ₹400–₹555 per person for entry including the ropeway or access to the sculpture and viewing area.

Walkway Only (no cable):

• Typically lower (~₹300+) if you climb the steps instead of taking the cable car.
