Peace Be Upon You Questers

I am Yasir Hamid Ansari, and Today I am Going to Talk About How Has iQOO Neo 10's Gaming Performance Held Up After Months of Use? (Long-Term Review – 2026)

I have been using my iQOO Neo 10 (8GB + 256GB, Inferno Red variant) since 25th May, 2025, and after months of heavy gaming, daily outdoor usage, performance testing, and software updates — here's my complete long-term gaming review.

This is not a first impression.

This is a real gamer's long-term experience.

🎮 Gaming Performance After Months – Is 120 FPS Still Stable?

Let's talk about what matters most — BGMI performance.

I play BGMI at Smooth + Ultra Extreme settings with:

  • Monster Mode ON
  • Frame Rate set to 120 FPS

🔥 Real-World FPS Stability

  • 120 FPS stays stable throughout the match.
  • During hot drops or while landing, FPS sometimes dips to 110–100, but it recovers within a second.
  • Final zones? Still stable.
  • No major frame drops during gunfights.

After months of usage, the phone still delivers consistent flagship-level gaming performance.

That's impressive.

🌡️ Heating & Thermal Performance – Real Numbers

Heating is one of the biggest concerns in gaming phones. So here are actual figures:

📊 1 Hour 4 Minutes Continuous BGMI Session

  • Initial Temperature: 40°C
  • Final Temperature: 43°C
  • Battery temp rise: 34°C → 39°C

The upper portion of the phone gets warm — but not uncomfortable.

What's more impressive?

If I leave the phone idle for just 5 minutes after 1 hour of gaming, it cools down quickly and:

  • Reduces minor lag
  • Stabilizes frame rate
  • Restores peak performance

This shows the thermal management is well-optimized.

🔋 Battery Drain After Months – Honest Results

🎮 Gaming Drain Test (1 Hour 4 Minutes)

  • Battery dropped from 100% to 86%
  • Total drain: 14%

For 120 FPS gaming, that's excellent efficiency.

⚡ Charging Speed

  • 0% to 100% in just 35 minutes
  • Charging speed has not degraded after months

📱 Screen-On-Time (Last 7 Days Average)

  • 7 Hours 46 Minutes SOT
  • 2 Hours 35 Minutes Screen-Off Time

Important note

  • I keep 100% brightness all day (outdoor usage)
  • Always On Display enabled
  • Flip cards feature ON

Even with all that, battery backup is strong.

However, I noticed:

Funtouch OS 15 gave slightly better battery life compared to Origin OS 6.

I'm hoping future security updates optimize standby drain further.

🧪 Performance Benchmarks After Months

Let's talk numbers.

🚀 AnTuTu Benchmark (Latest Test)

  • Score: 2.1+ Million
  • Test duration: 18 Minutes
  • Initial battery temp: 35.4°C
  • Final temp: 48.7°C
  • Battery drain: 8%

Even after months of usage, the score is still flagship-tier.

That shows long-term performance stability

🧠 CPU Throttling Test (10 Minutes)

  • Average stability: 80–85%
  • Battery dropped from 75% → 70%

For extended gaming loads, maintaining 80–85% stability is very good.

No aggressive throttling observed.

💾 Storage Performance – Any Slowdown?

  • Used Storage: 109.17 GB out of 256 GB
  • No slowdown observed.
  • No stutters due to storage fill.

Interestingly:

After updating to Origin OS 6, the phone feels even smoother than launch day.

The UI feels:

  • Buttery smooth
  • Faster app animations
  • Improved touch response

🐞 Bugs & Minor Issues

Being honest:

  • Very rarely, the phone freezes for 2–3 seconds.
  • Then it instantly comes back to normal.
  • This is not frequent and doesn't affect daily usage much.
  • Sometimes when phone is heated up high, camera lags a lot and makes the camera unusable.

Other than that — no major issues.

No network instability during gaming.

No performance degradation.

No storage-based lag.
