Losing luggage at the airport is every traveler’s nightmare. But Google’s Find Hub feature can now help you track your bag and even share its location with airlines.
Google’s Find Hub (previously Find My Device) lets you track devices and items like keys, bags, or luggage using compatible tracker tags connected to the Android network.
Now it can also help locate missing luggage at airports.
Before using this feature, make sure you have:
• An Android phone
• The Find Hub app installed
• A compatible tracker tag attached to your luggage
• An airline that supports the feature
Some smart suitcases already come with this tracking tech built in.
If your luggage goes missing, follow these steps:
Open the Find Hub app
Tap on the lost luggage item
Select “Share item location”
Generate a secure tracking link
Share the link with your airline
Airline staff can then see your bag’s live location and help recover it faster.
Google designed the system with privacy in mind:
🔒 Location data is encrypted
⏳ Links expire automatically after 7 days
❌ You can stop sharing anytime
Tracking also automatically stops once the bag is back with you.
Many global airlines already accept Find Hub location links, including:
✈️ Air India
✈️ Lufthansa Group
✈️ Turkish Airlines
✈️ Scandinavian Airlines
The feature works with industry baggage systems like WorldTracer, used by airports worldwide.
Google’s Find Hub could make lost luggage much easier to recover by giving airlines real-time bag location instead of just reports.
A small tracker in your suitcase might save your entire trip.
If you travel often, would you use Find Hub luggage tracking or stick with traditional airline tracking? 🤔
