My favourite character from Dragon Ball Series has always been Gohan. What makes him stand out to me is that, unlike most fighters in the series, he's a true pacifist at heart. He doesn't enjoy fighting or hurting others, and deep down he just wants a peaceful life where he can study and be with the people he cares about. Even though he's the son of Goku and inherited incredible Saiyan power, his personality is much gentler than most warriors in the series.
What I find most interesting about Gohan is the contrast in his character. He dislikes violence and conflict, but when the situation demands it and the people he loves are in danger, he doesn't hesitate to step forward. When pushed to his limits, his hidden potential explodes in a way that few characters in the series can match.
One of the most iconic moments for me is during the Cell Saga, when he transforms into Super Saiyan 2 while fighting Cell. That moment perfectly captures his character - someone who never wanted to fight, but unleashes overwhelming power when it's the only way to protect everyone. It's emotional, powerful, and one of the greatest moments in anime.
• Possesses immense hidden potential, often surpassing even experienced Saiyan warriors when pushed to his limits.
• Mastered the Super Saiyan form at a very young age, becoming one of the strongest fighters of his time.
• Exceptional ki control, allowing him to perform powerful attacks like the Kamehameha with incredible force.
• A natural prodigy in battle, able to quickly adapt and grow stronger during fights despite not enjoying combat.
• Combines Saiyan strength with human empathy, giving him both immense power and a strong moral compass.
To me, Gohan represents a different kind of strength. He proves that being powerful doesn't mean you have to seek to destroy. Sometimes the strongest person is the one who fights only when it truly matters - and that's exactly why he's my favourite character.
