Every year on 21 March, the world celebrates the International Day of Forests. Established by the UN in 2012, it highlights the importance of forests for people, climate, and biodiversity.

This year's theme is "Forests and Economies. It emphasizes how forests sustain livelihoods, create jobs, and strengthen economic resilience while protecting nature.
