Hey everyone
I hope you guys are doing well
Prime Gaming is giving away 12 free PC games this April, including XCOM and Total War. Check the full lineup, release dates, and how to claim them.
Amazon is giving Prime subscribers a massive
treat this month. From now until April 30, 2026, Prime Gaming will be releasing 12 PC games absolutely free for the month, whether you prefer to stream the games through Amazon Luna or download them directly. This month’s release is something that should not be missed, particularly if you enjoy strategy games.
Subscribers have access to the highly rated turn-based strategy game XCOM: Enemy Unknown Complete Pack and the massive history battle simulation game Total War: Pharaoh Dynasties. It should be noted that either of these two top-tier AAA games alone would make up a full month’s lineup.
Amazon intentionally spreads the remaining indie and AA releases out weekly to keep players coming back. Here is the full breakdown of when each game becomes available:
Available Now: XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Complete Pack, Total War: Pharaoh Dynasties
April 9: A Rat’s Quest, King of Retail
April 16: Snake Core, Monster Harvest, Detective Agency
April 23: Neo Cab, The Pale Beyond
April 30: KinnikuNeko, Fantasy General, Pinball Spire
But the thing about platform fragmentation is that there’s a huge downside. It’s unlike Steam because you have to connect several accounts in order to get all your bonuses since the games can be found on different platforms such as Epic Games Store, GOG, and Legacy Games.
Moreover, the deals are time-sensitive. Some last for months, while some are valid only for 30 days. You must act fast to get those games.
Amazon is also actively rotating its catalog this month, meaning heavy hitters like Civilization VI, Total War: Rome II, and Total War: Three Kingdoms are being removed from the service soon. If you love strategy titles, do not let this month’s free offerings slip away!
