Esports and gaming engagement startup Metaninza has strategically restructured its business with the launch of 16Arena Labs Private Limited (formerly known as Metaninza Gaming Private Limited) – a technology-first entity building scalable infrastructure for competitive and casual gaming. As part of this strategic evolution, Metaninza Esports will continue to operate its core esports brand owning and operating competitive esports rosters under various titles; while on the other hand, 16Arena Labs will be functioning as a dedicated gaming-tech and sports-tech company driving product innovation, platform development, and building multiple useful, tech-led solutions for the broader gaming and esports ecosystem.

Over the past year, Metaninza has built capabilities across esports and platform development. As both sides of the business evolved, the imperative for a more focused structure was felt – one that allows each vertical to scale independently while contributing to a larger, interconnected ecosystem. In line with this realization, the company’s latest restructuring has been planned, allowing them to sharpen focus and to accelerate growth and execution across both segments.

Going forward, Metaninza Esports shall focus on talent development and enabling India’s grassroots esports ecosystem, alongside creator and influencer management in esports; whereas 16Arena Labs will dedicatedly focus on building a robust underlying infrastructure layer or the “operating system” for the gaming industry, offering quality gaming experiences and full-stack esports-tech solutions, while leveraging community-first architecture and data and AI-driven personalization and optimization.
