Today was a truly memorable day for me. It marked my second time organizing an event as a Chennai Clan member, and this time, it was something different — an engaging board game session at Gameistry.
From the beginning itself, I could feel that this day was going to be special.
My team and I reached the venue around 2 PM. We quickly got things set up and booked a table for two hours for our questers. There was a sense of excitement as we waited for everyone to arrive.
Once all the participants joined, we kicked things off with a quick introduction. We introduced ourselves, got to know each other, and explained the agenda for the session. It helped set a friendly and comfortable vibe for everyone.
In total, there were 9 of us, all ready to dive into some fun and competitive board games.
We started with a game called The Chameleon, and it instantly grabbed everyone’s attention.
🎯 Rules of the Game (Simple Breakdown)
For normal players → identify the Chameleon
For the Chameleon → blend in without getting caught
It’s a mix of bluffing, observation, and quick thinking, which made it super fun and interactive.
And yeah... I didn’t lose that game 😏🔥
After just one round, I checked the time — and surprisingly, one full hour had already passed. It honestly felt like just a few minutes. That’s when we realized how engaging the session had become.
We then moved on to another game called The Resistance, which took the excitement to another level.
This game is all about:
Players are divided into two groups — Resistance members and spies.
The goal is:
The discussions, arguments, and suspicions made the game extremely engaging and entertaining. Everyone got involved, and the energy in the room was just amazing.
Once our session time was up, we headed to Writer's Cafe for some refreshments.
The place had a really nice vibe. While the prices were slightly on the higher side, the food absolutely made up for it.
I personally tried:
And honestly, the hot chocolate is a must-try 🔥
Before wrapping up, we distributed welcome gifts to our beloved questers as a token of appreciation for joining us. Seeing their smiles made the effort feel completely worth it.
This was also my first experience at a board game café as an organizer, and I can’t even describe the feeling properly — it genuinely felt like I was floating in the sky.
After such a fantastic day filled with fun, laughter, and bonding, we all headed back home with full hearts and unforgettable memories.
I’m truly grateful to my fellow clan members and all the questers who joined us. Without them, this experience wouldn’t have been the same.
This wasn’t just an event — it was an experience that brought people together through games, conversations, and shared moments.
And for me, as a Chennai Clan member, it’s a day I’ll always remember.
Stay Curious. Stay Relentless. 💫
