I purchased the iQOO 15R around two months ago, and unfortunately, my experience has been disappointing due to multiple issues, with the major concern being severe heating problems.
The phone heats up excessively even during normal usage such as using the camera, maps, and other regular applications—not even heavy gaming. Because of this, I have been facing serious difficulties during driving and travel. In comparison, my previous iQOO Neo 9 Pro performed much better with no heating, camera, or performance issues.
At times, my phone becomes so hot that it slows down significantly or becomes almost unusable until it cools down. During trips, I have faced many challenges where apps stopped functioning properly. I even got stuck in remote places because EV charging apps failed to work while navigating with maps due to overheating.
What is more disappointing is that this happens even while using the phone inside an air-conditioned car. For a device in this segment, this level of heating is unacceptable.
I also approached the service center regarding this issue. However, I was informed that heating is "common" in every phone. Their final suggestion was to submit the device for a few days for testing in the service center by running apps. The problem is that the issue mainly occurs during real-world daily usage—while commuting, charging, and continuously using maps and applications on the go—which cannot be properly replicated in a service center environment.
Issues like these can make loyal users lose confidence in the brand and eventually consider shifting to other brands.
I request the iQOO team to seriously look into this issue.
