Project Helix: Microsoft’s Next-Gen Xbox & PC Hybrid

Project Helix is Microsoft’s official codename for its next-generation hardware platform. Designed to succeed the Xbox Series X|S, Project Helix aims to bridge the gap between traditional console gaming and PC gaming into a single, unified device.

Key Features & Capabilities

Native Xbox & PC Gaming: The defining feature of Project Helix is its ability to run both traditional Xbox console titles and PC games natively, rather than relying solely on streaming or restricted compatibility layers.  


Custom AMD Architecture: Built in close partnership with AMD, the console utilizes a custom System-on-Chip (SoC) designed for next-generation DirectX features, advanced FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR), and massive leaps in ray tracing performance.  


Unified Ecosystem: Designed to integrate with Microsoft's expanding "Xbox Mode" on Windows, allowing cross-play, unified store options, and expanded Xbox Play Anywhere capabilities across PC and console ecosystems.
