🎧 iQOO Buds - Unboxed, Connected & Already in My Playlist

Some products impress you with a long specification sheet.
Some simply make you put them on, play a song… and smile.
The all-new iQOO Buds gave me that second feeling. 🎶🖤
So, here’s my first look after unboxing them and spending some time listening, gaming and playing around with the controls.
📦 1. The Unboxing - Simple, Clean & Complete
The box keeps things minimal, with the iQOO Buds taking centre stage.
Inside, you get the earbuds, charging case, additional ear tips and the quick-start documentation - everything you need to get started without unnecessary clutter.
And that signature black + iQOO yellow combination immediately gives the Buds their identity.
🖤 💛 First Look - That Yellow Accent Hits Different
The charging case has a smooth, rounded design that feels compact in the hand.
But open it up and the personality changes.
That bright iQOO yellow charging compartment against the dark exterior is easily my favourite design element.
It doesn't scream for attention.
It just quietly says iQOO.
🖤 2. The Buds - Small, Cute & Surprisingly Lightweight
The Buds are small, sleek and feel incredibly lightweight in the ears.
The glossy black finish gives them a premium look, while the compact stem keeps the design clean.
But the real magic starts when you press play. The 10mm high-resolution moving coil unit, paired with the BES271010C3 audio chip and Deepx Sound Effects, delivers an immersive audio experience with rich and engaging sound.
After wearing them for a while, they don't feel bulky or distracting - they just sit comfortably and let you get on with whatever you're doing.
For me, that's exactly what I want from a daily TWS.
Put them on. Press play. Forget they're there.
The Buds also comes with ip 54 rating for everyday protection
iQOO also includes additional ear tips, which is something I always appreciate.
Because sound quality isn't only about the drivers or tuning.
The fit matters.
A proper seal can make a noticeable difference to comfort, bass response and passive isolation.
The extra tips give you some flexibility to find what feels right for your ears.
🌿 Designed to Go Beyond the Desk
I took the Buds outdoors for some real-world use rather than keeping them safely on a table.
The compact case is easy to carry, the lid feels convenient to open and close, and the overall design blends surprisingly well into an everyday carry.
And honestly, the Buds look even better when they're out in the real world.
🎶 First Listening - This Is Where They Started Making Sense
Now to the part that matters most.
The sound.
My first impression is genuinely positive.
The audio feels clear, enjoyable and nicely balanced, with enough punch to make music engaging without making everything sound unnecessarily heavy.
Vocals come through nicely, instruments have good separation for my initial listening, and switching between different types of tracks makes the tuning feel versatile.
And with DeepX Stereo Effect, there is room to shape the experience depending on what you're listening to.
• Standard.
• Clear Voice.
• Mega Bass.
• Crisp High Pitch.
• Esports Sound Effect.
• Immersive Audiobooks.
• And even a Custom Sound Effect option.
That's a lot more flexibility than simply pressing play and accepting one fixed sound signature.
🎙️ Calls - The Noise Doesn't Get the Final Word
One thing I specifically wanted to try was calling in less-than-perfect surroundings.
The Buds feature AI Call Noise Reduction, along with the microphone and wind-noise reduction design iQOO has highlighted.
From my initial usage, call noise handling/ENC feels good, and voices remain clear enough even when the surroundings aren't completely quiet.
It's one of those features you don't really appreciate until you have to take an important call outside.
And that's exactly where these Buds start feeling practical rather than just flashy.
👆 6. Touch Controls - Small Detail, Big Difference
This was another thing that immediately stood out to me.
The touch controls are responsive and accurate.
Play/pause, track controls and call actions respond without needing repeated taps or exaggerated gestures.
And the best part?
You can customise the shortcuts through the companion settings.
• Double-tap.
• Triple-tap.
• Press and hold.
You can decide how you want the Buds to behave instead of simply adapting yourself to them.
That's the kind of little quality-of-life feature that makes everyday use better.
🎮 And Yes… There’s a Gaming Side Too
Because this is iQOO, gaming couldn't exactly stay out of the conversation. 😄
The Buds include 42ms Low-Latency Gaming mode designed to improve audio-video synchronisation.
There's also Monster Sound / Esports Sound Effect inside the DeepX audio options, giving gaming its own sound profile.
I haven't spent enough time with it yet to call it the ultimate gaming TWS - that's something I want to properly test with footsteps, gunshots and directional audio.
But the early experience is definitely promising.
More Than Just Music
One feature I really appreciate is Dual Connection.
The Buds can be paired with another device and support automatic audio switching between two devices.
Phone 📱 + Laptop 💻
That could be incredibly convenient for everyday use- especially when you're moving between work and entertainment.
There's also Find Earphones, firmware updates and plenty of other controls inside the vEarphone app settings.
So there's clearly more happening here than just playing music.
🔋 The Battery Story Looks Serious
This is one of the biggest highlights :
50 hours - total battery life
12 hours - continuous listening from a single charge
7 hours - continuous calling from a single charge
10 minutes charging - up to 4 hours playback
Those are iQOO's claims, so the real question now is :
How close can real-world usage get to those numbers?
That's something I'll be watching closely.
🌱 My First Impression - More Than Just "Another TWS"
After the first few sessions, what I like most about the iQOO Buds isn't one particular specification.
It's how the pieces come together.
• A distinctive design.
• Good initial sound quality.
• Responsive touch controls.
• Useful sound customisation.
• Promising call-noise handling.
• Dual-device connectivity.
• Low-latency gaming mode.
• And a seriously ambitious battery claim.
There's still plenty I want to test before giving a final verdict - especially long-term battery performance, gaming latency, call quality in tougher environments and how the different sound profiles actually compare.
But as a first impression?
I'm already enjoying these more than I expected. 🎧✨
