iQOO Buds — My Real-World Experience After Extended Use 🎮🎵

I’ve been using the iQOO Buds for quite some time now, and honestly, they have turned out to be a really enjoyable pair of TWS earbuds, especially for someone like me who uses them for a mix of gaming, music, videos and everyday listening. 🎧

What I like most is that they don't feel like earbuds made only for one purpose. The 42 ms gaming latency makes them particularly interesting for gamers. Personally, I consider under 75 ms good for gaming and under 50 ms very good, so the 42 ms figure puts these comfortably in the very-good range.

After actually using them, I can say the low latency is one of the features I appreciate the most. In games, audio feels properly connected to what's happening on screen, which is especially useful when you're relying on footsteps, gunshots and directional sounds. 🎮

And then there's the battery life — which honestly impressed me more than I expected.

🎮 Gaming Experience

Gaming is probably where these Buds stand out the most for me.

I've used them for long, continuous gaming sessions, and the low latency really helps. I don't get that annoying feeling of seeing something happen on screen and hearing the corresponding sound noticeably later.

The combination of low latency and good directional audio makes them a very practical option for gaming.

And the battery life is seriously good. 🔋

During intensive gaming use, I have managed around 37 hours of usage, while on a full day of essentially nonstop music listening I've seen around 43 hours. With the charging case, the total endurance can go even higher.

Obviously, real-world results depend on volume, settings and usage, but for me, the battery has been one of the biggest strengths.

🔊 Audio Performance

The Buds use AAC for Bluetooth audio, and the tuning is clearly designed to be fun and energetic rather than completely neutral.

🔥 Bass

The bass is easily my favourite part.

It's powerful, punchy and has plenty of impact. Music feels energetic, and game sound effects have a satisfying amount of weight.

For my taste, the bass is 10/10. 💥

🎤 Mids

The mids are good overall. Vocals and instruments come through clearly enough for normal music, videos and gaming.

They're not what I'd call studio-reference sound, but for everyday listening, I find them enjoyable.

✨ Highs & Vocals

The one area I noticed is that higher frequencies and vocals can feel slightly recessed compared with the stronger bass.

Fortunately, the EQ helped me here. I adjusted it to bring the upper frequencies forward a little, and the overall balance became much better for my ears.

So personally, this isn't a major issue for me.

🌌 Spatial Audio

The DeepField spatial audio feature is a nice addition.

The different spatial modes can make compatible content feel more immersive, and I especially enjoy using it with movies and games.

It's not something I'd buy the Buds for alone, but it's definitely a feature I enjoy having.

📱 Bluetooth 6.1 & Multipoint

The Bluetooth 6.1 connectivity and Multipoint support are both genuinely useful.

Being able to switch between devices without constantly going through the pairing process is something I appreciate a lot in day-to-day use.

It's one of those features that sounds small on paper but becomes really convenient once you actually use it.

👆 Controls & Smart Features

The controls are simple and easy to remember.

• 2 touches: Play/Pause
•  3 touches: Next song
•  Find My iQOO Buds: Make the earbuds ring or check where they were last used
• Multipoint: Convenient device switching

The Find My Buds feature is particularly handy because somehow earbuds always manage to disappear when you need them most. 😂

💧 IP54 Protection

The Buds come with an IP54 rating, which is useful for everyday dust and splash protection.

I would still treat this as basic protection rather than considering them waterproof. Sweat and light splashes are one thing; intentionally soaking them is another.

😌 Comfort

At only 3.8 g, these are very lightweight.

I've worn them for long gaming sessions and extended music listening without constantly feeling like something heavy is sitting in my ears.

Obviously, fit is subjective, but personally I find them very comfortable.

❤️ Overall Impression

The biggest thing I like about the iQOO Buds is the overall balance of features.

You get very low gaming latency, excellent battery endurance, strong bass, a lightweight design, Multipoint, spatial audio and useful smart features in one package.

They aren't perfect, particularly if you're looking for an extremely neutral sound signature, but I think they do an excellent job at what they're designed for.

For me, the iQOO Buds are a very good choice for anyone who wants gaming performance, long battery life, strong bass and everyday versatility without making the earbuds unnecessarily complicated.

💡 A Few Suggestions for the Next Generation

Since I've enjoyed using these, there are just a few things I'd love to see in a future version: basic ANC, a matte finish, and a dedicated companion app that works with non-iQOO phones would make them even more versatile.

I'd also love to see an optional higher-quality Bluetooth audio mode, potentially with 24-bit/96 kHz support, for users who listen to lossless or FLAC music. At the same time, keeping that optional would make sense so users can choose between audio quality and battery life.

Overall, though, these are small wishlist improvements rather than complaints. The current iQOO Buds already deliver a really enjoyable combination of gaming, music, comfort and battery life. 🎧🔥
