🎧 iQOO Buds | More Than Just a Gaming Companion?

Greetings iQOO Community! 👋

I recently spent some time exploring the new iQOO Buds, and I think there's more to them than just the “gaming earbuds” tag.

At ₹1,899, iQOO has focused on a few things that actually matter in everyday use comfort, battery life, connectivity and low-latency audio.

🎵 How do they sound?

The first thing you notice is the bass.

If you enjoy punchy bass for music, movies or gaming effects, these are enjoyable. Vocals remain reasonably clear, although the tuning is definitely on the bass-heavy side.

So if you're someone who prefers a very neutral, detailed sound signature, these may not be your ideal choice.

 🎮 What about gaming?

This is where iQOO's DNA becomes obvious.

The Buds offer 42ms gaming latency on compatible iQOO/vivo devices, and the low-latency experience is designed specifically around gaming.

For casual gaming and competitive sessions, that reduction in audio delay can make footsteps, gunshots and other cues feel more responsive.

🔋 Battery is probably the biggest strength

iQOO claims up to 12 hours from the earbuds and 50 hours with the case, while recent independent testing has found around 10+ hours of continuous playback under demanding conditions.

That's the kind of feature you appreciate after a few days of use you don't constantly think about charging them

📱 The underrated feature: Multipoint

The Buds support Bluetooth 6.1 multipoint, meaning they can stay connected to two devices and switch between them.

For someone using a phone + laptop every day, this can be much more useful than another flashy audio feature.

☎️ And calls?

The AI call noise-reduction system helps with voice pickup and wind interference, and reviewers have generally found call performance useful, although experiences aren't universally perfect.

⚠️ What I would have liked to see

❌ No ANC

❌ No in-ear wear detection

❌ Bass-heavy tuning won't suit everyone

❌ Some features work best within the iQOO/vivo ecosystem

And honestly, that's important to mention.

At this price, iQOO seems to have made a deliberate choice: prioritise gaming, battery and connectivity instead of trying to tick every possible box.

🏁 My takeaway

The iQOO Buds aren't trying to compete as an audiophile TWS.

They're trying to be a lightweight, long-lasting everyday companion that can switch from music → calls → gaming without much fuss.

And at ₹1,899, that positioning actually makes sense.

Would you choose punchy bass + long battery + low latency, or would you sacrifice these for ANC and a more balanced sound? 👀

Let's discuss. 👇
