As we are closer to celebrating Holi which is also known as the Festival of Colors as a celebration of the defeat of the demonic creature Holika and the triumph of good over evil. On this day following the full moon, is observed. 

People gather through the streets dousing each other with colorful powders while they sing and dance to mark the beginning of spring and other occasions.

Background 

The night before Holi, people come together to perform religious rites and then pray for the elimination of their inner evil. The following morning, individuals begin the authentic carnival customs and smear colored powder all over one another.

Water cannons and water balloons are occasionally used. People march through the streets while singing, dancing, and playing drums and other instruments. Also, people congratulate their families and friends on sharing Holi treats and colors with each other.

The culture greatly values the festival of Holi. It marks the end of the fight, a fresh start from past mistakes, and a day when people are able to forget and forgive. Most of the time, people repay their debts as well as forgive them, accepting new agreements in their lives.


The Holi festival is observed throughout all of India, with local traditions changing. Typically, Holi is celebrated most in Northern part of India.


How Is It Celebrated?

1 - Planning

People frequently gather wood prior to the Festival to start bonfires in parks, community centers, and other public areas. Moreover, filling residences with food, beverages, and festive meals is part of preparation.


2 - Lightening The Fire.

The bonfire is lit on the eve of Holi to represent the Holika Dahan. Together with singing and dancing, people gather around the fire.🔥

3-Colours

There are numerous colors, people use on this occasion. Traditionally, the use of a washable natural color is the best for this occasion. But some people use Colors which are not easily washable
