Today, I had the opportunity to attend India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026 at Yashobhoomi, Delhi, and it turned out to be an exciting day for smartphone enthusiasts and, especially, for all iQOO fans! 💛

I reached the exhibition centre around 11 AM, ahead of the much-awaited Snapdragon Day, which began at 12 PM. The event brought the spotlight to the next generation of flagship mobile performance, with the unveiling of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipsets.

The session was led by Mr. Sumit Sonal, Head of Marketing, Snapdragon, Qualcomm India, who took the stage to introduce these flagship platforms and discuss their powerful performance capabilities and AI features. It was fascinating to see how Snapdragon is pushing the boundaries of mobile technology.

The excitement grew even further when the conversation shifted to the long-standing partnership between iQOO and Qualcomm in India. Mr. Sumit Sonal then invited Mr. Nipun Marya, CEO of iQOO India, to the stage. Nipun Sir spoke about the journey of the iQOO–Qualcomm partnership and the iQOO smartphones that have brought Snapdragon-powered performance to users across India.

The powerhouse was unveiled on stage and showcased at IMC 2026, giving attendees an opportunity to get their first look at the device and explore its design up close. As an iQOO enthusiast, witnessing this moment in person was truly exciting!

With the next generation of Snapdragon flagship platforms taking centre stage, the anticipation for what's coming next from iQOO is real. The iQOO 16 is coming soon to India, and expectations are already sky-high!
