Recently, Gadgets 360 spoke with @NipunMarya ,our  CEO of iQOO India, at IMC 2026, discussing the future of iQOO, the upcoming iQOO 16 flagship, and the importance of community feedback. What made this interview even more special for me was hearing him acknowledge how the iQOO community contributes to improving the software experience! 

As a part of the OriginOS 7 Beta Testing Program, I'm incredibly happy and proud to be part of this journey. Every bug we report, every suggestion we share, and every piece of feedback we provide helps the software engineers refine the OS and make it better for a wider range of users. We're not just experiencing the software; we're helping shape its future!

Here are some key highlights from the interview that caught my attention. 👇

1. iQOO 16: A Complete Flagship Experience

iQOO 16 aims to deliver a more complete flagship experience with improvements across the display, processor, cooling system, cameras, and AI capabilities, with fewer compromises.

2. Beyond Just Gaming

Gaming and performance will remain at the heart of iQOO, but the brand wants the iQOO 16 to appeal to mainstream users too, with a stronger focus on cameras, display quality, software, and the overall experience.

3. Next-Level Performance

The upcoming flagship is expected to push performance further with powerful hardware. I'm excited to see how iQOO balances performance with other flagship features!

4. AI Surprises Incoming?

Nipun Marya hinted that the AI capabilities of the iQOO 16 could surprise us! 👀 We’ll have to wait for the official reveal to discover what's coming.

5. Tech Enthusiasts Are Everywhere

iQOO believes technology enthusiasts aren't limited to metro cities. Through digital platforms, the brand aims to connect with users across India who share a passion for technology.

6. The Community Is a Strong Pillar!

This is the part that makes me especially happy! ❤️ Nipun highlighted that community feedback continues to play an important role in improving iQOO products, including software testing and understanding user expectations.

As an OriginOS 7 beta tester, it feels great to know that our efforts matter. Every report and suggestion is an opportunity to help the software engineers identify issues, refine features, and create a smoother experience for more users.

Being part of this program is more than just getting early access to software. It's about contributing, learning, and helping the brand improve. Proud to be a Quester and proud to contribute to the OriginOS journey! 🥹💛

7. Smartphone Prices Under Pressure

Rising memory costs continue to affect the smartphone industry, and price hikes may remain a challenge for brands. It will be interesting to see how iQOO maintains its value proposition with its upcoming flagships.

My Take

I'm excited to see iQOO move towards a more complete flagship experience with the iQOO 16 while continuing to deliver the performance we love. At the same time, I'm proud that our community contributions to OriginOS 7 are being recognised.

It's a wonderful feeling when the feedback we share as beta testers helps make the software better for everyone. Here's to more testing, more improvements, and a better user experience!
