Peace Be Upon You Questers
I am Yasir Hamid Ansari, and today I want to share that why I don't want to switch back to OriginOS 6 after updating my iQOO 15 to OriginOS 7.
After using OriginOS 6, I already knew how good the overall experience was. The UI, animations, and customisation were already impressive.
But now that I'm using OriginOS 7 on my iQOO 15, there are quite a few things that make me feel this is more than just a regular software update.
Some things are completely new, while some are existing features that feel more refined than before.
Here are the things that caught my attention 👇
The new translucent material effects are one of the first things you'll notice in OriginOS 7.
The Control Centre, notification panel, and other UI elements have a different visual feel, with more transparency, depth, and light effects.
I also like that there are different visual styles to choose from, so you can adjust the appearance according to your preference.
OriginOS 6 animations were already superb, but I feel OriginOS 7 takes things a step further.
App opening, minimizing, switching between apps, and navigating the home screen feel more optimised and smoother to me.
It's one of those improvements that becomes more noticeable after using the phone for a few days.

The lock screen is no longer just about choosing a wallpaper and clock style.
Effects like Depth, and Flip Cards, but now it has Wiggle Effect, Glint Effect along with additional personalisation options, there's more room to make the lock screen feel like your own.
This is definitely one of the areas I enjoy exploring.
This is one of the productivity features I find interesting.
Origin Workbench lets you work with multiple app windows and switch between tasks without constantly jumping back and forth between individual apps.
For someone who frequently switches between browsing, taking notes, and checking information, this can be genuinely useful.
OriginOS 7 also puts more focus on AI-powered productivity.
Features such as Snap Note, AI Recorder, and AI Search aim to make tasks like capturing information, working with recordings, and finding information easier.
I like the direction here because a software update shouldn't only change how the phone looks; it should also help us get things done more conveniently.
I will Make a Seperate Thread to Explain each and every features Individually
This is another area where the refinements matter.
OriginOS 7 introduces improvements to system responsiveness, memory management, and rendering, with the goal of making app launches, page switching, and multitasking smoother.
These aren't necessarily changes you can appreciate from a single screenshot, but they're important for the overall experience.
What I appreciate is that OriginOS 7 isn't focusing only on the interface.
There are also enhancements across connected-device experiences, system tools, and personalisation. The official feature set includes options such as Office Kit for cross-device workflows and additional tools for everyday productivity.
These additions make the update feel more complete than a simple visual refresh.
For me, OriginOS 6 was already a great experience. I don't want to take anything away from it.
But OriginOS 7 builds on that foundation with a refreshed design, more customisation, additional productivity features, and smoother everyday interactions.
That's what makes this upgrade interesting to me — it's not just one new feature, but the overall experience coming together.
I'm still exploring OriginOS 7 on my iQOO 15, and there might be more things that stand out as I continue using it.
Now I want to hear from you, Questers! 👀
If you've switched from OriginOS 6 to OriginOS 7, which feature or improvement would you find the hardest to give up? 👇
