The Indian Premier League is that time of the year when the entire country is in a festive mood. From evening friends gathering at home to clubbing in a cricket-friendly hotspot, it is all part of the IPL fever 🤩.

Its only 3 days left for the grand opening of the Indian Premier League season 16. The Indian Premier League 2023 will kick off on March 31.

The defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) will take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL 2023 opener on March 31, 2023, at the world's biggest cricket stadium, Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

All 10 franchises will play 7 home matches and 7 away matches during the league phase of the tournament. According to the official website, the first game will begin at 3:30 p.m. IST, while the evening games will begin at 7:30 p.m. IST.

However, things at IPL 2023 will be a bit different as some amendments to the rules and formats have been made, including the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) restoring the home-and-away method of conducting the matches in the 16th edition of IPL.

A total of 70 league matches will be played, including 18 double headers, the board announced. The league matches will be played over the course of 52 days at 12 venues. The final clash will be played on May 28, with the schedule and venues for the playoffs and final to be announced at a later date.
