THE RULE OF THE THIRD:
The Rule of Thirds is a common compositional technique that divides your frame into an equal, three-by-three grid with two horizontal lines and two vertical lines that intersect at four points. The Rule of Thirds places your subject on the left-third or right-third of the frame, creating a pleasing composition.
Tip: Placing the object in the center and aligning one of the lines to an imaginary line (in the present scene) for a perfect frame composition will give you a perfect photo.
THE GOLDEN SPIRAL:
The golden ratio is a ratio of approximately 1.618 to 1. Artists have used this ratio for centuries to create works of art from paintings to architecture.
When this ratio is applied, it can make works of art more visually appealing. For example, the golden ratio was used when designing the pyramids. This ratio was also used by Leonardo da Vinci when he was painting the last supper. It can also be found in the way that shells look. You might also be able to find evidence of the golden ratio when looking at pineapples and honeycomb.
Tip: For a better picture composition place the subject at the end of the spiral focusing on the subject.
To enable the rule of thirds or golden spiral in your device follow the step below*:
1. Go to the camera app and launch settings in the top right corner of the app.
2. Slide down to the grid and guides
3. You'll find three options: Grid, Diagonal lines, and Golden Spiral
You can select accordingly.
