Mark Zuckerberg has unveiled Threads, a new application that aims to compete with Twitter. Threads offers users a platform to share text updates and participate in public discussions. It can be downloaded from both the App Store and Google Play Store, allowing users to engage with content by liking, commenting, reposting, and sharing.
Threads allows users to share text posts of up to 500 characters long and videos of up to 5 minutes in length.
How to get started
It's easy to get started with Threads as users simply have to use their Instagram account to log in. The same Instagram username and verification will carry over, with the option to customise the profile specifically for Threads. Additionally, users can also share Threads posts to their Instagram story, or share the post as a link on any other platform
Important: If you have been thinking about‘deleting’ your Threads profile, you will be required to delete the linked Instagram account.
If you choose to deactivate your account on Threads, your posts and interactions with other users' posts will not be visible until you reactivate it. Deactivating your Threads profile will not result in the deletion of your Threads data or have any impact on your Instagram account.
steps to deactivate Threads account:
1.Tap profile in the bottom right to go to your profile
2.Tap settings in the top right.
3.Tap Account, then tap Deactivate profile.
4.Tap Deactivate Threads profile, then confirm your choice.
