It has been 5 days since the Clash of the Year - Oppenheimer vs Barbie. Has anyone watched it yet? I was lucky to watch both the movies on the same day, and I will share a glimpse of my experience and if I would recommend watching it to you all. (NO SPOILERS)

Movie 1: Oppenheimer

Looking at the cast itself had pushed me to watching Oppenheimer. We have Cilian Murphy, who is popularly known as Thomas Shelby from the Peaky Blinders series, Robert Downey Jr., who needs no introduction, and the filmmaker Christopher Nolan, widely known for his creativity and considered one of the best filmmakers in the 21st century.

The movie is almost 3 hours long, but trust me you wouldn't notice it if you are indulged into the movie. The movie kept me at the edge of my seat the entire time as I was confused in some scenes and curious in other. Christopher Nolan had earlier mentioned that the movie would be shown non-linearly, and I could understand his point only when I watched it. The scene gets cut every now and then, leading to visible confusion.

As we all know Oppenheimer as the 'father of the atomic bomb', the movie can rather be seen as a biopic of Oppenheimer. With Cilian Murphy in the lead role, Oppenheimer showcases the impact of the atomic bomb by chemical means, and how a bunch of physicists came together to help Oppenheimer in the making of an atomic bomb. Tragic scenes follow as Oppenheimer's invention was misused by a body.

Initially, I expected Oppenheimer to be an action movie, as I did not know about the history behind the movie. But fun fact - the movie was all about conversations and the talking kept going the whole time. This may sound boring to some people, but trust me, Christopher Nolan has made it super catchy for the viewers.

I was invested in the movie the whole time, and I never felt a tiny inch of boredom while watching it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to watch it on IMAX as the sound levels in the movie are too good to miss out on.

Movie 2: Barbie

The first thing that comes to our minds would be: "Should be a fun movie for girls." That is definitely not the case as Barbie is a fun entertainer for anyone from any gender and age.

Barbie revolves around Barbie and Ken who live happily in the Barbie Land. Due to some reasons, Barbie is forced to enter the Real World. Things become bad in the Barbie Land soon after she returned as all the other Barbies were brainwashed. Barbie Land slowly faded and got renamed.

The main motive of this movie is to spread awareness about women, which was being done through a conversation. After the successful execution of a plan made by Barbie and a bunch of people collectively, Barbie Land was brought back to life, and the movie ends by quoting a line for gender equality.

Barbie might not be fun to watch, especially for those who don't like entertainers without action. However, I had a good time with my friends while watching and safe to say, you will witness a few special appearances made by popular stars you may know.

I hope I didn't spoil it for anyone. If anyone has not watched these movies, I'd highly urge you to watch either or both. Have a great day!
