Here are some of the latest updates:

1. Screen Sharing in Video Calls

Guiding our parents and elders about an app or solving a problem through a call is an extremely difficult task. To overcome this, WhatsApp added a feature Screen Sharing in Video Calls.

In the video call, you can find the Screen Share option beside the Camera switch button and share your screen.

2. HD Picture and Video Sharing

We all know, right after an trip, there are people who asks for the all pictures and videos to send in Document. For this, WhatsApp released an feature "HD".

This features allows user to send Photos and Videos in HD resolution.

3. Create WhatsApp groups with No Name

Previously, if we want to create an WhatsApp group, it doesn't allow us to create a group without a group name.

Now WhatsApp allows us to create a group without a group name.

4. Video Message

We have seen the Voice message feature in WhatsApp. Now WhatsApp introduced a new feature called "Video Message".

This feature lets you send a short message in video form.

Video message records Audio as well as Video.

You can send a Video Message of a maximum length of 1:00 Minute.

5. Block Calls from Unknown Numbers

Recently, everyone is receiving some WhatsApp voice and video calls from unknown numbers and International Numbers.

This is very irritating to answer those types of calls and face them.

To avoid this, WhatsApp released a feature "Silence unknown callers".

Using this feature blocks the calls from unknown callers and leave a notification.

6. Chat lock

We all have many WhatsApp conversations with our loved ones, Officials, or some personals.

We are worried that someone will open the chat and sneak into the chats.

For this, we have a new feature from WhatsApp, "Chat Lock".

Chat Lock allows you to chat a particular chat and if you want to access the locked chats, you need to swipe down the chats on home screen and above the Archived Chats, you can now find an option Locked Chats. To access this you need to give your fingerprint and access it.

7. Edit Message

Many times in a hurry we send some messages, some really important messages with spelling mistakes.

It really hurts to delete the message and send again.

To overcome this issue, WhatsApp released new Feature, "Edit".

After sending a message, you can edit the sent message within 15 Minutes after sending.

8. Add an second account in WhatsApp

Many of us want to use 2 WhatsApp accounts in single phone. In past we used to install some apps which create an second app. Then many mobile brands launched an option like Clone App.

Now WhatsApp is giving the Inbuilt option to add a second WhatsApp number in the same app itself.

This gives the Extreme convenience to switch between accounts without maintaining two apps.
