According to the United Nations, tourism is one of the world's most important economic sectors. World Tourism Day (WTD) is celebrated each year on 27th September. It was established by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) to raise awareness of the importance of tourism and its social, cultural, political, and economic value.

Theme of World Tourism Day 2023:

Each year, a different theme is chosen to highlight various aspects of tourism. "UNWTO has identified investments as one of the key priorities for tourism's recovery and future growth and development. The theme for this year's World Tourism Day is "Tourism and Green Investments". This theme highlights the need for more and better-targeted investments in tourism to create jobs, protect the environment, and promote inclusive and sustainable development.

On this World Tourism Day, let us come together to celebrate the power of tourism and its ability to create inclusive growth👍.
