iQOO 12 series to come with 120W fast charging, other features also confirmed

iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro phones are set to launch in China on November 7th and will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. In fact, their launch in India has also been teased. The company has been pretty vocal about teasing the phones and their features on Weibo, which is a social media platform. Now, in the latest development, Vivo Brand VP & GM confirmed some more details about the flagships. 

Separately, tipster Digital Chat Station shared the iQOO 12 series RAM and storage configuration details. The phones have also been spotted on China’s 3C certification, revealing the fast charging details.


iQOO 12 series features

  • The iQOO 12 is confirmed to come with the new Q1 e-sports chip and this will apparently improve the gaming experience.
  • The top executive further revealed the iQOO 12 series will feature a 1/1.3-inch primary sensor with OIS support.
  • This comes after the brand revealed the design of the phones through promotional images.


iQOO 12 series RAM and Storage

  • According to DigitalChatStation, the iQOO 12 series will launch in three RAM and storage configurations.
  • The base model could come with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The other two options could include 16GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB. There could be a special 1TB edition.


iQOO 12 series specifications

  • Display:iQOO 12 is rumoured to flaunt a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 3000nits peak brightness, and 2160Hz PWM dimming.
  • The Pro version will also have the same 6.78-inch 2K Samsung E7 AMOLED display with curved edges, a 144Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 2700nits, and 1440Hz PWM dimming.
  • Cameras: The iQOO 12 is rumoured to pack a 50MP OmniVision OV50H primary sensor with OIS support, a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide camera and a 64MP OV64B telephoto lens.
  • Likewise, the Pro version is expected to come with a 50MP OmniVision OV50H primary snapper with OIS, a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide lens and a 64MP OV64B periscope telephoto camera.
  • Processor: The flagships are rumoured to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with Adreno GPU.
  • RAM/Storage: The chipset could be paired with 12GB/16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB UFS 4.0 storage.
  • OS: Android 14 with Origin OS 4.0 custom skin out of the box.
  • Front camera: The phones might come with a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. 
  • Others: The phones might feature an in-display fingerprint sensor, Hi-Res audio, stereo speakers, and possibly an IP rating.
  • Battery: The iQOO 12 series is expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery and 120W fast charging support.
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi 7, 5G, Bluetooth, NFC, dual-frequency GPS, and an IR blaster.
