The BMW M Hybrid V8 is equipped with the P66/3 eight-cylinder turbo engine, featuring a supplementary electric drive.

The combustion engine is derived from the DTM unit utilized in the BMW M4 DTM during the 2017 and 2018 seasons.

Undergoing extensive adjustments in two reconstruction phases, it now meets the stringent requirements of the LMDh hybrid drive system. The chassis for the BMW M Hybrid V8 is collaboratively developed with the renowned Italian race car specialist, Dallara.

The BMW M Hybrid V8 will showcase a design crafted by BMW Group Designworks, featuring a distinct departure from the heritage-themed "Icons of IMSA" camouflage.


Instead, it embraces a forward-looking aesthetic, presenting a coat of arms adorned with contemporary, bold, fractal blocks incorporating the iconic M colors and the M logo.


The Prototype BMW M V8 hybrid distinguishes itself among other BMW M racing cars with its focus on power,design, Electrification Technologies and acceleration, forming a notable connection with iQOO.
