Here's What is happening 😮

Introduction

Companies such as Intel are now using glass substrates in chip manufacturing to increase efficiency and improve communication between different chips.

Diamond Foundry has now dedicated his nearly 30 years to the project of integrating diamond wafer substrates to maintain the best chip performance for as long as possible.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Diamond Foundry tested process completion on an unnamed high-end Nvidia GPU and found performance up to three times higher than the best performance recorded on the same GPU using a regular GPU.

The new Diamond GPU could be 17,200 times better than the current one.

To achieve these impressive results, Diamond Foundry used a process called heteroepitaxy.

This creates a slightly mismatched crystalline layer of the substrate.

The technology makes it possible to create single-crystal diamond on a scalable substrate, which is then scaled into diamond wafers that can be used in chips such as his GPUs and CPUs.
