Healthcare company Forward has launched CarePod, an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered self-service device designed to help individuals take control of their health.

 Each Forward CarePod combines advanced diagnostic capabilities, personalized health plans and a premium personal experience, the company said in a press release.

 Once a user enters his CarePod, he or she will have personal access to a wide range of apps designed to address current health issues and prevent future health issues, the release states.

 The pods provide on-demand access to disease detection, biometric body scans, blood tests, and other medical services.

 These pods will be used in malls, gyms and offices, the press release states.

 Forward plans to double its footprint by 2024 and launch CarePods nationwide, starting with the San Francisco Bay Area, New York, Chicago, and Philadelphia.

 According to the release, one of the key features of Forward's CarePods is healthcare app integration.

These apps use proprietary AI technology to transform clinical expertise and the latest medical research into diagnostic tools and robust care plans.

 Users can interact with these healthcare apps through Forward CarePods as well as the Forward mobile app.According to a press release, 's health apps cover a wide range of disease areas, including diabetes, hypertension, depression, and anxiety.

 Forward plans to gradually expand the reach of its health app and introduce new features such as prenatal care, advanced cancer screening, and polygenic risk analysis.

 Data from CarePod visits will be seamlessly and securely transmitted to Forward's platform to enable continuous progress monitoring, disease risk identification, and detailed assessment using sensors, lab tests, and vital sign measurements.It is stated in the release.

Forward membership plans start at $99 per month per publication.
