Get ready for the World Cup final showdown between India and Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad by brushing up on essential details about the pitch, playing conditions, and average scores in ODIs at this venue.

On Sunday, India is set to face Australia in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 final at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium.

Throughout the tournament, the venue, having hosted four matches, including the opener, has proven less favorable for high run-scoring.

The highest score recorded is Australia's 286, a target England fell short of, getting dismissed for 253.

In the current World Cup, three out of the four matches played at the venue have been won by the chasing team.

However, historical data suggests that there is no significant advantage for teams batting second in Ahmedabad.

Out of 30 ODIs held at the venue, both teams batting first and those chasing have secured victory in an equal number of matches, totaling 15 each.

In the most recent 10 matches, teams batting second have a slight edge, winning six of those games.

Reports indicate that the final will take place on the same black soil pitch used in the league-stage match between India and Pakistan.

In that encounter, the Men in Blue effortlessly chased down Pakistan's 192-run target, securing victory with seven wickets in hand and nearly 20 overs to spare.

Despite pace bowlers leading in wicket-taking with 35 dismissals compared to spinners' 22, the spinners have displayed remarkable economy, conceding just 4.89 runs per over.

Notably, Adam Zampa, with figures of three for 21, created challenges for English batsmen on this surface, while India's Kuldeep Yadav, claiming two for 35, had Pakistan's middle-order entangled in a spin on the same pitch.
