Hello Questers,
It's been an incredible two years with you since NEW STATE's global debut on November 11, 2021. We are amazed at how quickly these two years have passed and are deeply thankful to share this milestone with all of you.
Throughout these two years, the love, encouragement, and even the criticism we've received have immensely inspired and driven our development team. Your unwavering support is the reason we're celebrating this second anniversary. We deeply appreciate your enthusiasm and interest during this journey and want to extend our heartfelt thanks to each one of you.
We aim to reminisce about our shared experiences over these past two years and share insights into what lies ahead for NEW STATE.
Two Years with Our Survivors,
Firstly, we'd like to take a moment to look back on the journey we've shared with you during these past two years.
Since the launch of NEW STATE Mobile, we have rolled out four Battle Royale maps — Troi, Erangel, Akinta, and Lagna — along with five Deathmatch maps including Station, Underbridge, and Dead Rock. Among the 16 modes we launched, the Station (Team Deathmatch) mode emerged as the most beloved and attracted the most attention, ranking number one among our survivors.
Additionally, we've continually updated the game to offer a fresh gameplay experience, including the introduction of new weapons. Notably, the addition of seven unique NEW STATE original weapons not present in PC PUBG — such as the L85A3, MCX, and DSR-1 — were added, along with 59 types of gun customization.
We understand that from our survivors' perspective, there might be a reduction in content, but be assured, consistent updates are on the way. We greatly appreciate your support and patience.
Also, to commemorate our second anniversary, we're excited to present this special NEW STATE infographic for our survivors.
As of now, 1.52 billion accounts have been created, and our players have collectively spent 341 million hours in over 155 million matches. We're immensely thankful to every survivor for their time and dedication.
Over the past two years, the M416 has recorded the highest kills at 421 million, while Energy Drinks have been the recovery item of choice, used 666 million times. The most popular vehicle was the EV-AX, with 55 million unique drives.
In addition, the Drone was called 105 million times, consuming 11.03 billion drone credits in total, and the Green Flare Gun was fired into the air 19 million times.
Furthermore, players have engaged in 16.9 million recruitments, set up 84.8 million shields, and deployed 10.6 million scout drones, all highlighting the intense battles fought by our survivors.
'Check my mark' was the most commonly used radio message with 497 million uses (surprisingly not "Revive me!"), and since launching, we have released 24 faction characters for our survivors.
Throughout the last two years, we've seen incredible records set by our players, including some for the longest play times, and we'd like to take a moment to recognize these achievements.
As mentioned in our previous dev letter, we are excited to share news about a new mode that the development team is currently preparing.
This new mode, which will be played on a dedicated map, promises fast-paced gameplay and represents a completely new style of battle royale. While it's still too early to reveal all the details, we're thrilled to give you a first look at the images of the map currently in development.
The new Battle Royale mode is currently being prepared with a target launch in the first quarter of 2024. We'll soon be able to share more detailed information with you. In the meantime, we appreciate your interest leading up to the update.
Additionally, next year's development plan includes updates to the existing Battle Royale. We're thinking hard about improvements necessary to ensure all users can enjoy NEW STATE. We're aware that in some regions, core players are asking for an increase in gameplay difficulty. However, after analyzing actual data, we've identified the game's biggest challenge to be the early drop-out of new and beginner players who find it hard to settle into NEW STATE.
In response, the development team is deliberating and testing new approaches to ensure that the gunplay aspect of this mode can be enjoyed by both beginners and seasoned players. We're also re-evaluating our matchmaking system, reflecting on the multitude of opinions shared by our survivors since the last dev letter. This November, we aim to adjust the map operation schedule to minimize matchmaking latency. Moreover, we will keep you informed swiftly about any more confirmed details and changes about matchmaking system.
Lastly, we would like to share some news about the upcoming November update. The November update will introduce features that many of our survivors have been eagerly requesting, including the FAMAS, DEATH CAM (Beta), and night mode.
Particularly, given the immense anticipation around the night mode and the FAMAS, we're excited to offer a sneak peek of what's to come. We kindly ask for your continued excitement for the upcoming November update.
Wrapping Up the 2nd Anniversary Dev Letter
We'll provide more detailed information about future updates in our next dev letter. We kindly ask for your understanding as there are still many details we cannot reveal yet, but we are committed to meeting your expectations when we do.
To all who participated in marking our second anniversary, we want to express our sincere appreciation and have prepared a special gift in thanks.
We encourage you to log-in during the specified period to claim the gifts we've prepared just for you. Also, we invite you to take part in the ongoing second anniversary events and a special limited-time event!
Also, in an effort to alleviate any disappointment, we're planning for more rewards and more engaging events in December and January. We hope you look forward to them.
Over the last two years, New State has thrived and progressed, all thanks to our dedicated survivors. We continue to rely on your support as we tirelessly work to provide you with greater enjoyment and exciting experiences.
