iQOO is confirmed to launch in India on December 12th and the Amazon availability has been confirmed already as there’s a dedicated microsite. While we wait for the announcement, the iQOO India division has been teasing details about the phone. The latest teaser reiterates that the iQOO 12 will be India’s first phone with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
The iQOO 12 flagship is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with Adreno GPU. We also get a dedicated Q1 chip that will enhance the gaming experience and improve frame rates, as per the brand.
The iQOO 12 has a 50MP 1/1.3-inch main camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 64MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x zoom and 100x digital zoom. We get a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats.
The iQOO 12 flaunts a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz PWM Dimming, punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter, and 3000 nits peak brightness.
The iQOO 12 runs on Android 14 with OriginOS 4.0 custom skin on top.
We get a large 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
The chipset will be paired with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. We need to see which variants will make their way to India.
There is an in-screen fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, Hi-Res audio, and aptX HD.
Expected Price in India is around ₹45000.
