WhatsApp is brewing yet another feature – soon users will be able to share audio during screen sharing in video calls, discovered in WhatsApp's latest Android beta version 2.23.26.18. While screen sharing, participants can listen collectively to the audio from the sharer's device; a capability reminiscent of Apple's Share Play in FaceTime.
This functionality is currently under development and will not be available during voice calls or without screen sharing. An expected user-friendly addition to this feature will likely include the option to mute or halt audio sharing at any time during the call. The beta version introducing this feature can be obtained via the Google Play Store.
