Hey Questers!
This is the most demanded thread the people wanted with iQOO 12 i.e., The Performance Review, where I have almost covered every aspect of the performance side. So, let's get started.
But first, lets have a recap of what iQOO 12 is equipped of on the inside
Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
LPDDR5X Ram
UFS 4.0 Storage
6K Vapor cooling chamber
Now, let's start with the real test.
As you all know, this device has the highest AnTuTu score in the segment with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. As claimed by the brand, I cross-checked the scores and was amazed by the fact that, as claimed, it surpasses the 2.1 million mark, making the iQOO 12 the fastest smartphone as of now.
Note: This score is taken after the latest update of January patch.
The Wild Life Stress Test is a twenty-minute test that shows how a device performs under a longer period of heavy load. It mimics mobile games that are based on immersive experiences.
As you can see in the screenshot attached, it maintained 65% stability with a maximum temperature rise of up to 43 degrees with 124 FPS of test.
The Geekbench Benchmark result shows the single-core and multi-core performance of the device.
The iQOO 12 has a super respectable single-core score of 2245 and a multi-core score of 6923, making it the fastest smartphone currently.
The CPU throttling test amazed me with the results, which are just unbelievable.
It got a CPU Throttling score of 91%
I have never seen such a big number in CPU throtting till now, and the vapor cooling chamber is doing the job with excellence!
Read and write speed matters a lot in the usage of a smartphone. It should be capable enough to match the performance of the processor.
The device has a UFS 4.0 storage type, which is the best available as of now.
It has a stable Write speed of 830.78 MB/s
And Read speed of 1.10 GB/s
Also, with the wired mode of data transfer to the PC, I could easily transfer around 4GB of data in just a matter of 3–4 minutes via its Type-C port.
The Sling Shot Extreme Test is a demanding benchmark test for smartphones and tablets. Here it says the overall score has been maxed out and the iQOO 12 is too powerful for this test :P
The Solar Bay Stress Test is a twenty-minute test that shows how a device will perform under longer periods of running a ray-traced, heavy gaming workload.
This is known as the most powerful test for the smartphone, and most smartphones fail to pass it, which supports ray tracing.
Here, the iQOO 12 got an amazing stability score of 60.2%
Temperature rise upto 44 Degrees
And it maintained the frame rate from 11 fps to 36 Fps.
Funtouch OS 14, based on Android 14, has one of the smoothest animations ever.
Ram Management on iQOO Devices are the talk of the market, and this device is no odder than the others. You can just forget the applications you minimized the previous day, but when you check them back the next day, you will still find them in the same state in the background. Even heavy games such as BGMI are retained too!
Also, you can easily switch between 15+ applications in the background without aggressive ram management, which kills the application in the background. That is not happening with the iQOO 12.
It is just a demo of the battery charging. Will not talk much of it because a separate thread is planned for the complete battery test.
I hope you have liked the performance of this monstrous device, which is said to be the flagship killer! And I think I have covered all the points that clear up your doubts about this smartphone. If you think I have forgotten some points, then please mention them in the comments section below. I will try to add it here.
Thanks for coming through. Catch you guys in the next one.
