Microsoft may be considering bringing some Xbox-exclusive titles to PlayStation 5. Rumour had it that games like Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves were already under work for Sony’s latest gaming console, but it looks like Microsoft is also porting titles like Starfield and the upcoming Indiana Jones game, which was unveiled at the Xbox Developer Direct event last month.

According to The Verge, Microsoft is considering a multi-platform approach for some Xbox games, with the gaming giant already discussing which titles should be ported over to consoles like Nintendo Switch and the PlayStation 5 in the future, starting with the much anticipated Indiana Jones game.

Microsoft-owned gaming studio Bethesda might initially launch the title as an Xbox exclusive, but the company might bring it to the PlayStation 5 a few months later, with Xbox and PC coming in December this year.

This is further corroborated by documents that were leaked during the FTC vs Microsoft case, which hinted that ‘Indiana Jones and the Great Circle’ was developed for multiple consoles.

The report also suggests that Hi-Fi Rush for non-Xbox platforms may be announced in the “coming weeks”, with recently mined game assets hinting at a possible PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch launch sometime this week.

As for Starfield, a new report from XboxEra hints that Microsoft is planning to bring Starfield to the latest Sony console after it launches the “Shattered Space” story expansion on Xbox and PC, which currently has no release date. The report also claims that Microsoft is readying PlayStation 5 developer kits to help developers with the porting process.

While Microsoft is yet to officially confirm if it is planning to bring Xbox exclusive titles to the PlayStation 5, it will interesting to see how much of an impact it makes on the company’s sales figures if the console exclusive titles are ported to other consoles.
