Coming to the point

 the much awaited Android 14 Based FuntouchOS 14 for iQOO 7 is finally here. 

I hope many users already downloaded and using Funtouch OS 14 on IQOO 7.

IQOO 7 devices started receiving Funtouch OS 14 software update along with 

January Security Patch.

Take a look on the Update Details:

Recommended :

Added Memories to categorize your photos based on location, time, event, relationship, and other factors using smart algorithms and generate photos for the Memories album automatically.

Albums : 

• Added support for saving images at custom resolutions when editing them
• Added the Export original-quality video switch in Video editing, which allows you to export original-quality videos when turned on.
• Added several filter effects in Video editing.
• Optimised filter thumbnails to intuitively reflect usage scenarios and effects.

Small Windows : 

• Added the topbar design to make dragging more convenient.
• Added Mini small window mode, which allows you to switch to a mini window in navigation and other scenarios to view in-app content conveniently. You can double-tap to switch to full screen.
• Added Split-screen & small window overlay, which allows you to open small windows in split-screen mode.

Always On Display : 

• Added Always On Display style resources to make resources more diverse.

Control Centre : 

• Fixed the issue of a display error occasionally occurring on the navigation bar when returning to the standby screen after exiting screen-split mode.
• The system will give priority to incoming call notifications that are more important to you by putting them before other notifications.
• Provided users with the feature of hiding photos and videos in Albums, which improves the security of Albums and protects user privacy.

Eliminated the issue where the fingerprint occasionally can't be used to unlock the screen after the system is updated

• Added support for some system apps and Google apps in App hiding.

Widgets : 

• Added support for One-tap addition, which makes it more convenient to add kits to the home screen.
• Optimised the layout of the kit library to improve space utilisation of the kit page.

Home screen : 

• Added notification history so users can easily review various previously received notifications.
• Added the monocolour Material You palette, providing a simple and elegant system-style customisation experience.
• Added the "Gravitational space" live wallpaper, which dynamically displays the exquisite effect of each frame as your finger moves, making even daily casual actions full of novelty.

Fixed occasional crashes occurring with certain third-party software

• Added two battery icon styles with support for customising the battery percentage display mode in the status bar.

Performance : 

• Optimised the preview experience of multi-image or text and image links.

Fixed the occasional issues of no network signal and game latency/cutoff over the mobile 4G network

• Added the Per-app volume control feature, allowing you to adjust the rhythm of music as you like.
• Added the fly out layer by layer animation for unlocking and entering the home screen.
• Optimised the audio switching logic, with high-priority events being allowed to scramble for connections.

System : 

• Added Motion blur, which through algorithms simulates the phenomenon of visual persistence during movie shooting (dynamic motion blur) to compensate for the incoherence issue during the animation process, improving smoothness when users open and exit apps on the home screen and achieving silky visual smoothness.

• Added App retainer, in which trust listed apps that are closed by the system can quickly be restored to the status in which they were last used after being restarted. This seamless connection of tasks provides a more coherent product experience.
• Optimised system memory by reducing system resident memory and streamlining resident process memory, thereby reducing the memory occupied by the system during the daily use of the system by users and increasing the available memory for users.

Quick Notes : 

1. This update will not delete or modify your usage data, but it's recommended that you back up your data before the update.
2. During the upgrade, extra power will be consumed and the device temperature will briefly rise a little. It is recommended that a charger be connected. After the upgrade, the temperature will quickly return to normal.
3. System update packages will be automatically deleted after the update. They do not take up device space or affect the running speed of the device.

New added Android 14 Features tips : 

Overall Impression on the New Update :

• Best part is, this update brings some good new features Like new UI look, new control centre, Motion Blur, Performance Improvements, Small / Mini WIndow, New Live wallpapers etc... to IQOO 7 devices. Still missing some Funtouch OS features, I Hope IQOO will provide on next future updates.
• Overall performance of the device is better compared to pervious Software version.
• Dark Mode has been Improved within System UI & Apps. UI Colour has been Improved. 
• Interface is more smooth and fluid.
• Improved Network, Wi-fi & Bluethooth connectivity.

Camera Improvements after Update:

Camera performance has been improved after Funtouch OS 14 update. Low Light picture quality has been improved, Noise in low light Images has been reduced compared to previous version camera performance.
