Greetings, fellow Questers!

In today's fast-paced world, smartphones have become an integral part of our daily lives, influencing everything from calls to web surfing.

Despite having powerful 5000mAh batteries, it's challenging for smartphones to last an entire day due to heavy usage.

To tackle this, brands are introducing high-wattage chargers to provide quick charging solutions, often becoming a deciding factor when choosing a smartphone.

iQOO smartphones stand out by offering an impressive 120-watts flash charging support for their flagship and premium flagship devices.

This feature allows users to charge their devices in a matter of minutes, enhancing the overall user experience.

However, a common query arises – why does the charger appear bulky, yet it has only two pins instead of three?

This discussion aims to delve into the intricacies of this aspect. Let's dive in!

The recommendation for three pins in adapters or chargers above 60 watts is often seen in devices like laptop chargers, Iron Boxes, Mixers, Grinders, and even refrigerators.

EARTH

The longest pin on the 3 pin plug is attached here so when an appliance with a metal case is plugged in tit is automatically earthed.

The purpose of having three pins is to provide precautionary measures.

For instance, laptop chargers with multiple openings can pass electricity through various ports, and having three pins reduces the risk of a short circuit if an object accidentally touches it.

However, high-wattage smartphones chargers like the iQOO 120W use two pins, likely due to the presence of a single Type-C port, minimizing the chances of contact with short-circuited objects during charging.

Secondary factors

may include ensuring tidy packaging and easy access. While three pins may not fit all sockets, two pins are often more versatile.

The primary reason, as per my internet research, appears to be packaging efficiency.
