First Day Highlights

The Khelo India University Games Weightlifting event kicked off at Rajiv Gandhi University with an impressive start as Harshada Sharad Garud from SPPU secured the first gold medal in the women’s 45 kg category. Garud's remarkable performance included lifting a total of 143 kgs, with 67 kgs in snatch and 76 kgs in clean & jerk.

The event also saw notable achievements from athletes like Vijay Kumar Maheswari, Soumya Sunil Dalvi, and Ruthreshwar A, showcasing the talent and dedication of university-level weightlifters across the nation.
