The ongoing Delhi Tulip Festival organised by the New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) marks the joyous arrival of the spring season in the capital of India. With vibrant tulips adorning the landscape, the city has once again come to life after days of bitter cold. For citizens and visitors who want to experience the lovely tulip gardens, the festival will go on till February 21. This is the second edition of the Delhi Tulip Festival.

A Glimpse in the garden full of tulips

The Delhi Tulip Festival brings to you the beauty and charm of over 200,000 tulip bulbs in full bloom in several parts of the city. A highlight of the event, however, is the breathtaking display of 80,000 tulips in Shanti Path, creating a picturesque backdrop for visitors to enjoy leisurely strolls and capture stunning photographs. Beyond the visual splendour, the festival offers a diverse range of activities to engage attendees, including guided tulip walks in different parts of the city, exhilarating photography and painting competitions, and captivating musical performances.

Most of these tulips have been imported from the Netherlands. The festival and the flowers bring with them a hint of the internationally renowned Amsterdam Tulip Festival. For those curious, this festival is more than just the celebration of beautiful flowers.
