As you know, iQOO is very prompt in providing software updates to their devices.

But there are some things that you should take care of before updating your phone and some things which you should do after updating.

What to do BEFORE an Update?

Here are two very important things to do before Updating your device :

1. Take Backup :

In modern world, Data is everything for most people. In order to keep that data safe, you should keep taking backups occasionally.

Take Backup of Your Data before updating

Your backup may include :

1. Contacts
2. Images
3. Videos
4. Documents
5. Messages
6. Chats
7. In-app Backups

You can take backup using iQOO Cloud and Google Drive.

2. Charge your Phone:

It is highly suggested that you charge your phone upto atleast 60% before update as the process of installing an update may suck up a lot of charge and things must go smoothly.

What to do AFTER updating?

Got your phone updated?

Here are some things to do after that:

1. Factory Reset:

Many Developers suggest performing a factory reset on the device after installing any update. 

This is done in order to Avoid initial Battery drain issues, and to Better optimise the phone for the new update.

Please reset your phone once after updating.

2. Restore Data :

Factory Data Reset erases all the data in your phone.

To get your phone to it's original condition (Before update), You'll need to Restore all the data like Images, Chats and Contacts from the backups that you had taken before updating.
