Qualcomm on Monday added a new chipset to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 series. Called the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, this is a new variant of the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and is set to power affordable flagship phones soon. The new Snapdragon chipset incorporates key features of the flagship 8 Gen 3, such as on-device generative AI features, high clock speeds, and more. The first smartphone with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset is expected to release this month.
Qualcomm in its announcement confirmed a list of OEMs that will launch smartphones powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. Honor, iQOO, Realme, Redmi and Xiaomi will soon launch smartphones with the new Snapdragon chipset. The first phone is also slated to arrive as early as March.
There's a Realme RMX3851 smartphone speculated to launch with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. This could be the Realme GT Neo 6 series but nothing's officially confirmed yet. POCO F6 Pro, another upcoming phone is also tipped to launch with the new chipset.
