What does the “s” stand for?

The “s” stands for special — because these features have been specially selected for Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 to give users a personalized, premium experience.

Is it up to the OEMs what AI model is integrated into new smartphones with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3?

Yes, and Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 supports over 30 large language models (LLMs), giving OEMs plenty of options for what model to integrate in new devices.

Will there be an SDK for developers to interact with the generative AI capabilities?

Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 will be supported through the Qualcomm AI Hub, where developers are able to work with over 90 AI models on Snapdragon chipsets.
