The final was a battle of the two teams that were without a doubt the best two in the competition, as both were only really challenged by the other. It kicked off with a fairly dominant 13-8 win from Gen.G on Breeze, before Sentinels woke up a little and took Bind 14-12 after going to overtime to even the series up at 1-1.

Map three was Ascent and Gen.G returned to winning ways with another 13-8 win to put them on match point, but Sentinels again fought back on Split to win 13-10 and set up an all important final map to decide the champion.

The final map was Icebox and things were as close as ever, with the scores being even at 5-5 after 10 rounds before Sentinels took two rounds before the break to take a 7-5 advantage into the final half of the tournament. After the break Sentinels got off to a great start, cementing their lead to go up 9-5 before Gen.G put another round on the board. However, that would be the last round Gen.G would win, with Sentinels eventually taking a 13-6 win to take the map and the championship.

Sentinels has won the Valorant Masters Madrid tournament, beating Gen.G 3-2 in the final to take home the $250,000 first-place prize.

While Sentinels takes $250,000 for first place, Gen.G gets $100,000, while third place Paper Rex takes home $65,000 and fourth place finishers LOUD take home $35,000.

Of the two finalists, Gen.G was slight favourite heading into the match having already taken down Sentinels just a couple of days before in the upper bracket final. In fact, Gen.G dominated the tournament, going 2-0 in the Swiss stage with wins over Loud and EDward Gaming, and then taking down Paper Rex, the team that would ultimately finish third, in the opening round of the knockout stage to set up the first meeting with Sentinels, which they won 2-1
