WhatsApp allows users to share their phone screens during ongoing video calls. The feature is available for both the mobile version as well as desktop version of the app. Here’s how you can share your device’s screen using WhatsApp.
Ensure you have the latest version of WhatsApp installed on your device (phone or PC).
Screen sharing is only available during an ongoing video call.
The feature works for both one-on-one and group video calls.
While privacy features are in place, be aware that others can potentially take screenshots of your shared screen, which may pose security risks.
Open WhatsApp and initiate a video call with the desired contact(s).
During the ongoing call, tap the new "Screen Share" button (depicted as a phone icon with a forward arrow) located at the bottom ribbon.
Your device's display will now be shared with the other participant(s).
With this new feature, WhatsApp aims to enhance collaboration and productivity during video calls, making it easier to share content, and presentations, or troubleshoot issues remotely. However, exercising caution regarding potential security and privacy risks is advisable.
