Sony surprises PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers by announcing two games coming this month, including a day one release.

Those subscribed to the Extra and Premium tiers of PlayStation Plus have two more games to look forward to this month, including day one release Tales of Kenzera: Zau. Sony has established many patterns when it comes to its PlayStation Plus announcement, and so many fans were not expecting to learn about any upcoming PS Plus Extra or Premium games for at least another week or so.

Typically, the new PS Plus Extra and Premium games are announced in the middle of the month. It's highly likely that the new PS Plus Extra and Premium games will be fully revealed next week and then added on Tuesday, April 16. While PS Plus subscribers wait to learn about the full lineup of games coming in April 2024, they will want to take note of two titles that were surprise-announced for the service.

To the surprise of many, Sony has announced Dave the Diver for PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers on April 16, while day one game Tales of Kenzera: Zau is coming on April 23. Dave the Diver is an award-winning, critically-acclaimed game that has players exploring the ocean and managing a restaurant. It was originally only available on PC before making its way to the Switch, and now Dave the Diver is coming to PlayStation. Tales of Kenzera: Zau, meanwhile, is a 2.5D Metroidvania game with a focus on platforming and combat. Its gameplay doesn't look unlike the recently-released Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, so it will be exciting to see how it stacks up.
