Dubai's usually dry streets turned into temporary rivers yesterday, April 16th, as the city was hit by a sudden and intense downpour. The unexpected rain caused flash floods, disrupting traffic and leaving some areas under water.

Videos circulating on social media show flooded streets, submerged cars, and even a waterlogged metro station. While the official rainfall amount hasn't been released, it's clear the downpour was significant and caused chaos in the city. 

While some residents might have enjoyed a brief break from the heat, the heavy rain created challenges for many. Thankfully, there haven't been any reports of injuries so far.

Dubai's emergency services are likely working to clear flooded areas and ensure the safety of residents. This heavy rain serves as a reminder of the power of nature, even in environments known for their arid climate.
