Meta's popular messaging platform WhatsApp routinely gets new features and updates. Now, according to a report by WABetaInfo, Meta is working on Contact Notes feature for WhatsApp. WABetaInfo, a platform that tracks upcoming features in WhatsApp, has shared a new screenshot, where one can see the new Contact Notes feature.

The report also mentions that while the feature will be available to all, it will primarily be useful to WhatsApp Business users, as they would be able to add the details of the products or specific notes for their customers.

In the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.9.12 update, WhatsApp has added a feature to add notes to contacts. WhatsApp Business users can also save contextual information about their customers for future conversations, with this upcoming feature

WhatsApp users need to tap on the contact name within the chat and then the Notes section will be visible on the contact info page. Previously, WhatsApp had introduced the ability to message anyone without saving the contact. However, many users got confused when they used to chat with multiple known numbers.

With this upcoming feature, WhatsApp users will be able to add notes to such contacts and chats to remember their chat details. It is particularly helpful to those who usually use the Disappearing messages feature, and don't want to remember the details of any WhatsApp profile or contact.

Further, WABetaInfo has revealed that this tab will be first available on WhatsApp Web and then subsequently to mobile users. In addition to the Contact Notes feature, WhatsApp is reportedly developing a facility that would allow you to preview documents in a chat and add a list of Favourite contacts in the next few updates.
